A Real-Life Journey of Weight Loss, Transformation, and Longevity
During the early years of my police career, I left fitness behind and developed a pattern of poor eating habits that slowly pushed my weight to a peak of 408 pounds. I knew something had to change. Through focused discipline, deep determination, and an unbreakable commitment to my health, I lost 197 pounds and have kept it off for more than 15 years.
Redemption – One Officer’s Story and Successful Battle with Obesity chronicles my journey with honesty, vulnerability, and hope. It follows my path from the police academy to the height of my career, and through the long, difficult climb to escape obesity and reclaim my health. Along the way, I rediscovered my purpose and rebuilt my life. My hope is that my journey inspires others to begin their own path toward change and a longer, healthier life.
